A Sheepadoodle is a cross between a purebred Standard Poodle and a purebred Old English Sheepdog (OES) giving the best offspring known to man, just kidding. But really. These puppies are fluffy (like big panda bears), intelligent, sweet, loving, loyal, easy to train and don't forget manipulative! They are very aware of human emotions and love to use them to their advantage- you haven't seen puppy dog eyes until you see a Sheepadoodle wanting your dinner. Their hair type can range from a soft straight coat to wavy/curly (not as curly as a poodle though). This particular breed can have many different variations in color ranging from black/grey to brown, brindle, and apricot mixed with white. The coloring has some predictability depending on generation and lineage.
What Makes Our Puppies Different?
First and foremost, we only breed Old English Sheepdogs and Sheepadoodles (both F1 and F1b). An F1b is a first generation Sheepadoodle (1/2 Standard Poodle x 1/2 Old English Sheepdog) bred back to a Standard Poodle or a Reverse is bred to an Old English Sheepdog. This gives the offspring the perfect blend of goofy personality with sweet loving tendencies. I have spent my entire life around dogs both as pets, breeding and training. I know what characteristics make the best pet and have researched which temperaments and qualities are in which breeds to combine them into the most amazing companion possible.
In order to have the best tempered and well adjusted puppies we work with them daily, starting at 2 days old, on being touched, rubbed, and held in different positions. Once they are old enough, they experience multiple floor surfaces, toys, play times, rooms, environments, etc. This helps them to become confident in any possible situation and to learn to adjust quickly as they grow. These gorgeous pups also are very well socialized with kids, adults, and other animals so they fit right into any family. They are introduced to kennels at a young age with tons of positive reinforcement and praise helping with future crate training. They have both wire and plastic crates in their living area where they constantly play and sleep. This gets them accustomed to the feel and safety of a crate and creates positive associations so when they go to their forever homes they will adjust quickly. Our pups also start a form of potty training around 3 weeks that progresses until they're old enough to go home, which gives them a great start in potty training in their new home!
We make sure that both our stud and females have passed multiple health checks (hips, elbows, patellas, heart, eyes) to help guarantee that we are breeding healthy, happy, long living puppies!
What is the Adoption Process?
We require a puppy adoption application to be filled out. You can get access to this application by sending us an email on our contact form. Furthermore, If shipping is required, the adopters will be responsible for all transportation fees in addition to the fees for the vet certificate and travel crate. We do not ship, but we (or a flight nanny) can fly the pup to you in cabin. We do not ground ship or do cargo shipments. We will provide a contract prior to adoption and require a deposit of $300.00 to hold your choosing spot. The deposit is non-refundable but is transferable. We continually update our Facebook page, group, instagram and this website with new information about our females progress and pictures/videos of the pups. Once the pups have reached about 5-6 weeks old the adoptive parents will be able to choose which puppy will be their forever best friend and pet. Puppies are able to go to their forever homes at 8 weeks of age. All pups come with a 1 year health guarantee as well as checked by our vet, dew claws removed, microchip, vaccinated and the initial de-wormings.
