Our Program
My husband and I started our breeding program in 2011 when we adopted Charlee from Kayla's Sheepadoodle Luv. We originally started with our beautiful F1 sheepadoodle, Charlee, and have steadily grown. We have teamed up with some amazing guardian homes for our wonderful breeding dogs so that they are in their forever homes and come visit us when it is time to have puppies. Charlee retired in 2016 after she had 5 gorgeous litters. We now have 4 active females : Indie, AKC Old English Sheepdog, Lexa- AKC Old English Sheepdog, Harley - F1 Sheepadoodle, Luna - F1 Sheepadoodle, and soon Ruby, F1 sheepadoodle. We have 3 males in our program (Ben - AKC Standard Poodle who is ours, and Merlin and Albus that we use from another breeder). Our philosophy is to rotate the timing of our litters to where we can care for the overall health of our females and have sufficient time to spend with each of our puppies. We take pride in our small program and that we spend countless hours with each of our puppies. We are extremely passionate about finding the perfect combination in health and personality for the best furry family member for you! Our breeding program is simple: We only breed the best genes to make the best pets.
We produce Old English Sheepdogs and sheepadoodle puppies considered F1 and F1b puppies. F1 is a cross between a purebred OES (Old English Sheepdog) and Standard Poodle. An F1b is a back cross puppy - 1/3 purebred Old English Sheepdog and 2/3 purebred Poodle (a lot of people say its 25% and 75% but that isn't correct, this is the closest ratio). The F1b is the MOST likely of any poodle crossbreed to be non-shedding and allergy friendly (hypoallergenic) and is the easiest coat to manage. As OES do not shed anyway, the shedding aspect doesn't apply since both breeds are non-shedding unlike goldendoodles or labradoodles (So F1, F1b and F1bb should not shed any more than you or me). F1bb puppies are VERY similar and are virtually indifferent to F1b other than parentage. F1bb puppies have an F1b parent bred back to a Standard Poodle or Old English Sheepdog (specified by litter). We have done this dependent on personality and temperament of the parents to get the kind of characteristics in our pups that are desirable. In breeding terms F1b and F1bb are the most hypoallergenic of all "doodles".
Our puppies are raised in our household and by hand. They go through a lot of socialization, stimulation programs, litter training, leash training, crate training, introductions to different noises, textures, tastes, smells, etc. to produce extremely happy, healthy, well adjusted puppies. We do all we can to give them a few steps up before leaving so that they are more than capable of handling any situation from kids to fireworks- they love it all. Our pups $2550 which includes microchip, first round of shots, deworming, dew claw removal, Snuggle Puppy, go home packet (blanket, toy, etc.), all the training we do those initial 8 weeks as well as two additional weeks of on call training assistance (near or far) once the pup goes home. **Just as all cross breeds-this breed is not 100 % hypoallergenic but is the most allergy friendly of the crossbreeds - Hypoallergenic breeds are rare and no cross is 100%. This is a common misconception among doodles but F1b's have the highest percentage of hypoallergenic hair/dander.
We breed LARGE standard puppies!
Most of our puppies are LARGE in size! We specialize in puppies that come out big and grow up to be quite heavy in stature. They average from about 60 pounds at the smallest all the way up to 100 pounds!
At this time we do not breed micro or mini's.
